even though this place is based on map making i think it to be the best and most diverse uo emu forum.....cause we arent all about 1 emu etc etc and we dont only limit ourselves to maps either.......

Yup. But that's mainly because the community of regular posters is pretty small. That's why I tried convincing people of making a mapmaking channel. Because I know that besides helping people on IRC there will also be people just talking, making this community grow. It could be a good thing.

i always agreed with the channel for those who want it but many of us donnot have time to sit at a channel.....but if we had enough interest as a community I am sure that it could be done easily..

Well there's an easy way to start, since no one else has offered or suggested (that I can remember at least)

Go to www.mirc.com and download mirc
Run it
Fill out the crap it's asking for to start
Type /server irc.tragena.net and wait on it to connect
Type /join #Map
Chat and enjoy

oh you have your own irc server? Shrugs in that case i will get started and get on it tonight for a while and see if i can maybe get some ineterst going for it aswell

Actually, Armada (that posts here) and his friend Radiant host the irc server. I have the tragena dns pointed at it because all the people that were using the irc server I did have were used to that.

I joined #Map last night and got a few people in there that were already on the server, just so it's not completely empty :p

Course it might help if I would stop throwing gas on them and bouncing beach balls off their heads but HEY! I get bored easy hehe
