 Post subject: problem....

i'm working on a custom map and when i build the map i seem to get a big swath of black crap going down the y axis for some reason where you can't walk

need more detials to determine a solution.
Where is it? how wide? Is it in game only or viewable with InsideUO?

Without knowing exactly, I'd say it's at about X=5120 from top to bottom and only shows in game. That's the dungeon border and is a client limitation. Can't build there.

Dunno what emu you use, but in Sphere make sure the WRAPX line in spheretables.scp is pointing to your dungeons (like the cutoff on the OSI map between water and dungeon area on the map, that's the WRAPX)

eh I had something weird like that happen once.

Only on official shards with the normal map...

It was right after T2A came out. I guess my instalation got messed up, and I ended up with a big void down the middle of T2A!!!

Void as in "VOID" -- it was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen in UO!!!!

It was like a big black wall stretching straight down the middle of the T2A map. Only it wasn't just black, it had random tiles in it... It was about 10 tiles wide. A lot of "VOID" tiles.... At random heights.

You could walk into it, too. One time, I walked into it, and fell below the map!

All this was before the EMU community existed, and InsideUO didn't even exist as far as I know, so it was a first-time experience to fall through the map like that, heh.

Cool side is I was on an ostard when it happened, and the only thing they could do was take me back to Britain, Ostard and all. So I *accidently* fell in on an Ostard like 5 times.... Sold the Ostards in Britain for big bucks.

well does anyone know the command for uox or file to make it wrap around to a certain place on the map so that you don't go negative coordinates?

No such command for UOX (that I know of).
You'll have to edit teleport.scp to manually place the teleports all around the edges. Make sure you set it at least 5 tiles from the edge to prevent problems.
