Ok I read your caves tutorial, and what I need to do is have a MASSIVE underground cavern...BUT it's not underneath a mountain, it would vary, from mountain/grass/forest...so do I follow at the end as if I was doing a mountain and use worldforge to cover it up?

Thanks a lot

Well, you could do what you said... or you can build the whole thing above ground and manually set every tile's z coordinate to -20 or whatever and freeze it.

Or you can do like most others, and make it in the dungeon area of the map and have a teleport to it.
What's a dungeon, afterall? A massive underground area...

Yes, Ry, but one directly under ground adds more flavor. For example: the buccaneer's den caves.

Fair point. Just a convenience thing for me.
Although I've never liked the Buc's Den tunnels as you can see names of thing above and below.

With mountain caves this isn't an issue, however

i agree on both sides the caves/dungeon in the actual area add s some game realistic flavor, but the names thing can be annoying

Not to mention most emus have problems with caves built under walkable ground. Then you also have to be careful about people exploiting it to tunnel into places (like if you have a fix command)
