3.bmp not found (404)

Maybe try to open the example.bmp from mod 9? Then you'll alerady have a bmp with the correct colors that you can "save as" a new color table?

Another thing, maybe just creating a new document as indexed color might work.

(Also, if you can, convert to jpg before posting the images. bmp are very big, and they load very slow on dialup)

:!: :!: YES :!: :!:

very smart  ryandor

i opened the example.bmp
then i right clicked on the canvass slected image then mode then i clicked on RGB, after that i right clicked again and clicked on image --> mode-->indexed. a window poped up and i clicked on use custom pallet. then the button beside it and i clicked edit at the bottom then import, a little window popped up with a drop down menu underneath the name, the menu was called source click an hold down and you'll see the option "Image"

and now there is a graidiant with the colors from the map :D :D :D

good deal. Sounds like you are getting there.
Since the exmple.bmp is already indexed color, try to skip changing to RGB. Maybe a way to just grab the color table out of bmp.
Also, for kicks try to get the color table out of the existing palette files. They are in the addon folder.

What I mean is, if there's a way to select a pallet to open, try to open any one of the following:
dragon-mod9.aco
dragon-mod9.act
dragon-mod9.pal
