I was looking threw my UO sounds recently and got to thinking about how much of a waste it is how alot dont get used that would make things feel alot more RP like.

Does anyone know how i would go about adding these too the map?

Also i have seen clear tiles that players can walk threw like the top of water and was wondering how these are made?

What music is played in what part of your map is emulator specific. You can't code it into the map itself.

Stormcrow is right you should be able to specify different music being played in regions or durring persay battle, or even set standard sounds for animals in the emulator scripts.

All depending on the emulator of course.

The old version of UOX played random sounds occasionally. I remember walking past a rabbit and hearing a lion roar. Then, I walked into a dungeon (empty) and heard the alchemy sound. It was quite confusing until I figured it out.

Im useing Sphere 55i.

At the risk of sounding mean or ungratefull (Towards sphere), but i think the programers must have been lazy. I mean i look at alot of the little things and see lots of little errors and missmatches, Just look at alot of the items, They added them in but didint bother to make them accessable or give them graphics even in some cases.

Ah well i have no right to complain. i cant do even quater of what they did so just gonna be gratefull for such an easy to GM emulater.

Oh yea, i have been useing the MSPaint tutorial (Since i cant aford a good program) and just thought id better point out that the color chart i downloaded for it was wrong. I used the grass tiles to test out making a small map but instead i got 1 big grass field and where i placed the grass tiles i had random tiles mostly cave floors.

Also i cleared the statics useing DragonSP but when i got on the shard they all were still there. I reacon i must be doing something wrong since i dont see anyone else complaining about this, So what am i doing wrong?

Sphere is easy.
Check out sphereregion.scp.
Here's a pertinent snippet:
Code:
[REGIONTYPE r_default]
// Unclaimed regions.
ON=@ENTER
   SRC.MIDILIST=midi_britain1,midi_ForestA,midi_JungleA,midi_MountainA,midi_Plains,midi_Victory

ON=@CLIPERIODIC
   SRC.MIDILIST=midi_britain1,midi_ForestA,midi_JungleA,midi_MountainA,midi_Plains,midi_Victory

Now where do you define these regions you ask? spheremap.scp.

You get what you pay for.
