hello, is there a good way to convert your worldfile to multimap.rle?

the problem with the cartography tool from senser is that you have to do it yourself with photoshop etc and they don't end up right.

perhaps another tool? one button process. heh

No such thing as a "one button procecss" around here. If you want the custom rle, you'll have to make it.

Best way is to export the rle (using the program) to a bmp and you'll see how your bmp for the rle needs to be.

There are filters (like trace edges) in Photoshop that can get your real map into something resembling a line drawing.

If you want to get fancy you can copy and paste the "features" from the brit rle into yours so instead of outlines of mountains you can have actual little mountians. It's a time consuming project, but then isn't the whole custom map as a whole time consuming?

I should write a program to generate an entire completed map by pressing just one button...

=(. It would be cool, but making maps would no longer be rewarding, because basically with a random map generator everyone has a unique map. Would it even be possible to create something that even looks good? o.O;

Minus cities and dungeons, yeah, it's very possible. You'd still have to go in and add all the little fine-tuning details, though...
