Only search results regarding my problem:

http://www.ryandor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=813

So I did look around first, but I could find any help. Dragon keeps locking up during Dirt2Mountain and grass2jungle, like the first 2,3 that it parses. Sometimes it completes, most of the time it keeps locking up. And I have successfully made maps with it that it locks up on several times. Is it something I'm doing or something common with Dragon?

I'm assuming you didn't edit any of the scripts? But need to make sure.

I'm not sure at this moment, but if you did edit it, paste the contents of the scritps in question.

Nope, orignal Dragon files and Mod9.

Driving me nuts. It's doing this and I'm using two different maps. It sometimes hangs during the raw map generation or whatever. But it never hangs at the same place, no visible pattern. So I figure it can't be my maps.

How long do you let it 'Hang' when it seems to be locking up?
Depending on your computer, the speed of Dragon can really vary, typically when it is hanging like you say, Its still running, but there is no status bar showing its progress, so it would just seem as if its not responding.. also, If you opened task manager, It would show it as not respoding, yet it is indeed running.
Really, if Dragon doesnt actually give an error, and crash.. it is still running.

It takes less than a minute to compile my map on this machine, but there's only a few transitions:

sand->water
sand->grass
grass->water
grass->forest
grass->jungle

I'm pretty sure that's it. And it's a small map. One more thing to note, Dragon's successfully compiled this map before and after changes. I just had to keep restarting Dragon 12-15 times before it finally did it. So I think it hanging is quite obvious.

No error or anything, just stops responding, I get an End Now box, then that annoying "Send Error Report" dialog.

From the desktop: Right-click "My Computer" --> Properties.
If you don't have that then hit Win-Break keys together.

Go to Advanced Tab.

Click "Error Reporting" near the bottom

Select "Disable error reporting"
Optionally Select "But notify me when critical errors occur"

This will stop the "send Microsoft a useless report that no one looks at"

=============
It sounds like there might be other problems showing through, that may not be related to Dragon itself. I wouldn't know where to start at this point, but it might be worth checking into your harddrive for errors and such.
