 Post subject: New map ( first one )

im trying to make this map, just playing around with it i figured out all the way up to the point of trying to play on it, i painted it, did SP removed statics put my map0 and statics and staidx in the ultima folder, loaded sharded logged in

it seems theirs doors and forges all over stilll and npcs, i got brit and other towns to remove but the other items/npcs wont =/ ( im using RUO )

also, when i run around its like that grass is super tall, it covers half of me, almost like my world and osi map is like stacked on each other, as i run around i dont even notice my map at all, its like a big green square covered in crap that used to be on osi map, even tho the map0 for osi is removed, and the water is like grass/water tiles checkered were water should be

i dunno, it's just impossible to build on with me half way into the grass, i can run around freely tho,

can someone fix me? :shock:

It sounds like you have two seperate problems. The default world files in Run UO. All these items need to be deleted. Not sure how you do that easily in RUO as I use Sphere.

The second is the mapdif files. There are incremental map changes that OSI puts out so that you don't have to download full map copies when doing updates.

try wiping the entire world using WF beofre dragon-ing your new map

Run Uo command to wipe NPCs and items and such is [wipefacet go to each facet and type that and it will delete all the doors, signs, npcs, decorations etc...

the problem you have is that Runuo is getting the original files still , this can happen if you have both uo2d and 3d installed and you only copied the mul files to one of them or the ruois on a different computer and you didnt update its mul files there.... Take a look at this script file.
scripts/misc/datapath.cs for more info. hop ethat helps
