Is it possible to update my map without losing all my statics stored in statics0.mul and staidx0.mul? If so, how? This is on RunUO btw.

example: Ive built a cities buildings already but I made a new dungeon on the map so how do I go about updating the map without losing the city I built?

Just don't run DragonSP. As long as all you did was add in a new dungeon then you shouldn't need to run DragonSP.
And if you're worried about losing something, always make backups.

What if I made a new island so I needed to run dragon SP to freeze the coastline?

I remember there being a program that would help out with that. Not sure of what it was called though.

The alternative (manual deletion of coordinates by hand) would be more of a pain ;)

You can use UOCopy as well.
Leave your existing copy as is.
Make a new map with the new area, including the new statics.
Then copy out the statics (the area of new ones only) with UOCopy.
Then use MulTool to freeze thoese new statics into your original map.

Make sure you have backup copies just in case. Detials on UOCopy in the FAQs forum.
