OK, In dragon Mod 9, I've got completed my map except fpr one thing mines, I've got Dungeons in because there easy since they go in the blank grey part and client are just tele'd there. BUT I have no idea on how to make mines (like Mt Kendal) I've tried useing the tile called cave..... But when I compile my map and go to the loaction the cave has no roof. So how do I do it? Is there some trick to make it like the mines off OSI? At the moment my caves are bringing the mountain roof down to level 0.

Thanks in Advance ;)

There's a tutorial on how to get them working. Follow that in depth and you'll see you'll have to add the roof manually.

It's in the FAQ forum.

It's not quite that simple. There's certian limitations of Dragon that cannot be avoided. Yes, there are other ways to do it, but this is the most simple at this point.

Caves under the mountain are not technically part of the map. They are statics. Since the mountain is at differnt heights above the cave (like randomly in most cases, and to look decent) there's no way to easily calculate where the cave floor will go. Hence the required manual editing of the map in worldforge to cover the cave. The alternative is to create the cave manually. This would be more work as at least Dragon can create the cave edges and walls automatically, and the random mountains over it can be added much easier than doing the cave manually.

I wish there was an easier way, but there really isn't.
