Now you just need a good team of site-designers/coders and a good team of English instructors.

Well what's wrong with your site? The pop-ups, the banners, the links on the menu are hard to read, you can't even hit refresh, and the disclaimer is over-kill in my opinion. I wont even talk about the graphics.

As for the English instructors, do you know what a capitol is? It's like the small letters, only bigger... As for commas and periods, you might want to try using a few of those, too. They make things a lot easier to read, you know.

At any rate, I'm not in a particularly good mood at the moment, so you may not want to take my suggestions seriously, which is perfectly fine either way. You asked, and I told you.

I'm 17, too.

I don't even have a job, and I manage.

Want to see a site I worked on? Go to www.ryandor.com

:-)

My family is extremely poor, I don't have a job, and I still manage. As for your English, since I'm 17 as well, you can't use that as an excuse.

I know 13 year olds with far superior English to yours.

Considering I failed English, I'd hate to see your grade.

Nice and i failed english to hehe my last english grade was 64%.
and nice site.
oh and as soon as you can check out mine again i cant change the banner problem just something i got to deal with since i am poor to.
and well i thank you for posting the porblems about my site i changed most of them like the popups just go to
 http://members.lycos.co.uk/merlinsmaps/ from now one instead of cjb one. and i changed most of the font colors but would like some info on what i can use for the top banner that i made would really like some help on that.
um if theres any more problems plz post again but can you plz try on my forum or some other place or in this one but a different post cuz i really need a group of people to start a making maps as you and i both know map making is very hard and stressful.

Maybe later on once i get a job i could buy a host and get more room for more maps but space is not the problem right now.

And about the english i hate to do more work adding the puntuation marks but if it helps the people that come to my site read then i will do the extra work.

:D thx again! :D

PS: Like my mom always says never go to bed mad (why cant we all just get along) :D

hmm, your forums still need a little bit of work.

some constructive thoughts about your site.

The cave maker program is Beta ( please state that on your utilities page ). This way when people want to download it to check it out. They will know that it may still have bugs.

As for the Map utilities page, a suggestion for you. When writing a description about a product. Think like a salemen, and you are tring to sell the program to a client.

The Illusion map name should be changed. Choose a name that best suits the world. Also, make a jpg of the world, and place it on the website. This will help bring people will to help. Also provide a little background info. This will also help attract people.

For Map Peices, add a small description, which would include the size of the map. This should be the pixel size.

As for free sites, ask around. You can find a few good websites that do not have pop ups.

Also download Mirc, set the server as "irc.ca.sysone.net". Create a room(channel) where you can talk about different map projects, etc.

Now that's much, much better. :-) Black bagrounds (same with white) are a little over-used on the 'net, but that's fine. The punctuation really does help make it easier to read and understand.

The only thing that still bugs me is the red text... I'm at 1024*768 on a 15" monitor. Small dark text blends in really well with the black background at that resolution. Maybe make it brighter or bolder?

Just a thought. :-) Much better, though.

i changed the bright red font to light blue hope that helps and i added more description to the site and added beta to the cavemaker hope that helps and in about 45 mins my new site will be
http://merlinsmaps.uocm.de/
so the only thing with it will be that lycos banner at the top.
Also if any of you find a webhost that provides 50 megs of space and no banners or popups i would apreciate the info.

Instead of replying to the same thread three, or even two times in a row, why not take advantage of the "edit" button? It's usually considered a sin to "double-post" on a message board that works as this one does.

Sydius, you have one hell of a flaming problem, did your parents beat you as a child or something? Lighten up, asshole.

umm, maybe you should concider how long ago these posts were made, and the amount of time he has had to correct the problems there were.. before making some stupid comments like that.

Also, maybe you could log in, instead of posting crap like that, hiding from everyone.
