Just to get this straight, you want to have a completely empty world?
For example, with the whole world flat grass like green acres? If so, the server makes no difference, as the mul files have nothing to do with the server you use (other than read them) as these are client files.

Bacically, you need to use WorldForge's "Clear/Fill" function to clear the entire map. This is perhaps the quickest way to do this. After that you'll need to delete/wipe your servers saved items file (typically called a worldfile, but not technically related to the map0) so that you don't have a bunch of items in-game to get in the way.

If this isn't what you need, then you'll have to explain more in depth.

(map0.mul) which a european friend made to the specifications of the lord of the rings map... dont the map/statics files contain infomation about the world? like bumps etc? what i meant was a worldfile that works with the map0/statics files that i have... eg has land in the right place etc with no vendors or decorations anywhere

ok, a basic rundown of the files that affect what you see in game:

The map (map0.mul) shows the land tiles, which include hills.

The static items (statics0.mul and staidx0.mul) are the building, trees, rocks, coastal water and most other things you cannot move or intereact with directly.

The dynamic items that you can move, and interact with are things like signs, lights, chests, and other things that are part of the "worldfile" that is server specific. They also have the NPCs in there as well. In Sphere, it's SPHEREworld.scp; in UOX it's items.wsc and char.wsc; etc

So I'm still confused as to exactly what you're trying to do. It's sounds like you just need to delete or wipe your worldfile to get rid of items that are not matching. Or it could be that you've got the map0, but not the statics0/staidx0.mul files. If it's the later, you'll need to talk to the person you go the map0 from as the statics are usually created and kept with the map.

Does this help?
