Hello, I've got a problem with creating mountains. This is a fragment of my BMP file:

It doesn't look very nice in game:

It should't look like this, am I right? Is anyone able to tell me what is wrong?

You must make it more gradual (meaning put more lower Z mountains behind.. i don't remember the specifics but generally thats the concept.. so the lower Z mountains come between the squares of the higher one.

Thanks for reply but it didn't help. I tried with 'rock 20' border width of 8 pxand nothing changed. This situation is strange because only one side of the mountain is not smooth. I tried to create mountains a couple of time and always western and northern sides of some tiles look like this... The other tiles are ok:

Any idea? Maybe someone has a mountain on his own map and could give me a fragment of bitmap for check and analysis?

Actually the northern and western sides will always look sort of like that if you jump straight to 20z.

If your looking for a more gentile slope then use 5z, contract 1 on the lasso, fill with 10z, contract 1 on the lasso, 15-20z fill, contract 1 on the lasso then go from there, that will ensure your outside edges on those sides are a nice gentle slope.

You can always go back around on the (right and bottom) east and south edges and touch up with a straight up 70z wall to place cave entrances or other items of interest.
