Hi all,

I am a bit puzzled by this one so I am going to rack all your brains on it...

First, let me tell you where I am...

I successfully split Fel and Tram, where Fel is standard OSI and Tram is my custom map (full size) patched into these files:

Mapdif1, Mapdifl1, Stadif1, Stadifi1, and Stadifl1.

Now, both facets (or maps) work perfectly. Fel looks like old Fel and the new custom map looks like it is intended. All my new cities and statics work fine.

However, when I am on my custom map (the former Tram map location) the dungeon area appears to have been 'overpatched'. My new dungeons on the custom map patched right over the fel dungeons. Not to mention, on my custom map, I do not have T2A but it shows up like it is reading a Fel facet map file.

Not sure why the only area on the custom map that is not functioning is the right side...the dungeon area.

Is it possible that the Fel/Tram map also is reading say diff2's?

Hope the explanation was clear and hope the fix is simple.
Thanks,

A

I'm not exactly clear on your specifics, but problems like these are usually due to something in the dif files, or they may be static items left over in your world file.

I have never dealt with mapdif files before, so I don?t really have any authority on the issue, but perhaps they were never meant to be that big, and that is the root of your problems?

I believe they are meant to never exceed the size of a large city or island, and certainly not cross the dungeon line. Then again, I could be wrong.
