Hi everyone :)

I have a major problem with my map and hope you guys can help me out .

My shard runs with Sphere 55r. I have a complete and quite huge map and used WF to make some major changes on the map (new rivers, mountains and desert). Therefore i had to delete large areas of forest from my statics and now i have probs with creating random forest, swamp and desert vegetation/items for those new large areas.

What tools do i need to to create the groundwork for those areas and are there any guides how to use the these tools?
I am new to Dragon and as far as i can see it should need Dragon SP. I dont have the original bmp file for the map though.
Is there a way to convert my map0.mul into a bmp file other than using Dragon_m2b.exe because the result bmp file was messed up, the last time i tried it?

I read the Mapmaking tutorial from Ryandor.com but could not quite grasp the idea of how to change my statics (especially random vegetation) on an existing map, without placing each item IG, which is, considering the size of my map, almost impossible. :(

should be kind of possible with mod 11 and dragon v2
there's also a tool calles senser's item playcer around. i don't know if its really useful for this work.

I guess i may have a problem if i dont have the original BMP file for my current Map right? :cry:

I tried to find Senser's Itemplacer ...and had no luck. *sigh*

Where can i download Mod11 and Dragon v2 and what exactly can i do with it? Currently using DragonMod9Plus.

Irony is that i can make a nice map from scratch, but i am not able (or at least not within reasonable time) to change the existing one. :x

Thx a lot ! :)

I did come up with a work around. A bit complicated but still faster than placing each and every single Item IG for a huge area. ;)

1) I converted my current map back into a BMP file

2) Photoshop to place forest, swamp etc. in the huge areas (deleting all my water area to prevent Dragon from placing the water edge tiles)

3) Convert the BMP back into a temp map and used Dragonsp and modified itemscripts to add the vegetation into some temp statics.

4) Used SIR, to extract those items from my temp statics and imported them back on my currend map.

5) Used Static Patcher to patch those huge amount of vegetation into my current statcs after some IG fixes, which had to be done because one can only extracht items within an rectangle. ^^

I will check out the itemplacer soon. ;)
