It's getting harder and harder to get anything done on my map without succumbing to various distractions. My creativity is reaching it's limit ;) If you have some time, I'd love some feedback and suggestions. Screenshot is below.

Specificly, I'd like some ideas on how to fill up all the empty land areas. It looks good in photoshop, but in-game, its, well, boring. I've used about as much forest as I'd like.

I know in a general sort of way where the cities will go, and am planning some smaller hamlets and forts, etc. And an extensive dungeon system, of course. I'm saving it for last, since I know I'm going to just -hate- doing it.

As to all the water, eventually I'd like to put in some more islands. But I want to finish what I have first.

So, any suggestions, ideas, or even criticism? I'm open to anything at this point.

Hmm, well first off when ever I need ideas I go watch a movie, go watch dune, or LOTR or something, try and take features from those. or even read a fantasy book.

I would also say try and work on the mountains a bit they look good but they will fill more space and give a more realistic smidge to em if theyre kinda rough not so smooth round the edges..

thats all i can really see, looks good :P

That's not a bad idea. I'll try adding some more mountains, and making them more jagged and less smooth. Thanks for the advice :)
