I have created a new map for a shard I am developing. It looks beautiful. I have wiped all statics left over from the original POL static files, so it is a blank slate.

This is my problem.

I have used the StaticFreeze program and WorldForge to try to freeze items I am creating in the world, but am having problems. With both, I am positive it is user error. With WorldForge, nothing happens, everything is exactly the same and non-static. With StaticFreeze, I have things popping into areas where I have dropped houses and some places with ground tiles that should not have trees.

If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

You can either respond here, or ICQ me.

Thanks

Valkyrie

With respect to WorldForge, which version are you using?

WorldForge uses a .wsc file which is the ?worldfile? for UOX-based emulators. Assuming you know this and have converted to this format, make sure all of the items have a ?type 255? property and that it is set to freeze those types of items. You could also try the ?auto? type which uses an accompanying file that contains item IDs to freeze.
