I made a T2A type location in the black portion of my map, making it surrounded with mountains, etc. etc. There are no black tiles whatsoever on the location itself, when i convert it from BMP to a map, then check it in worldforge and pandoras, all looks fine. I log in, run around, follow a path to a town location, and am stopped dead in my tracks with black that shows up on my ingame compass/map. When i tele onto the black area, i can see the rest of the map, but there are other black squares scattered throughout the land. These arent small 5X5 areas, they are huge, ranging from 12x30 to 50x80. Ive replaced the dif files with blank ones, still the same problem. What the heck is going on? I figured I could fix this by increaseing the height by 28z or something, but the mountains are black too, and when i tele onto black portions that mountains are supposed to be on, im up at the mountain height, the mountains are there, just not visible. There are no transitions from the supposed-to be-there tiles to the black, just a drop off to the black. other areas there is water. this is all very strange, anyone have ANY idea what this might be?

You aren't running by the 5120 line by any chance? Other than that I have had some wierdness with the dif files producing areas of void, and sometimes black.

yeah, I was very close to the 5120 line actually, i just moved it over to the ocean part of my map, looks funny having a rectangular gargantuan mountain in the middle of the ocea, but...oh well, ive already got my statics placed, and i dont feel like screwing with it again, so its there to stay, heh...thanks for the reply by the way :)
