Hm... I've got a small question about DragonSP: Does the program read the BMP or the map file ? I was wondering because i've changed altitude with worldforge, so it doesnt fit the bmp anymore. :?

dragon reads the bmp and writes a new map file or the other way round in dragonm2b. in worldforge you can create fix/diif files for dragon i think....damn dragonsp? it reads from files dragon is creating when it reads the bmp.

The scripts directory under Dragon. It contains Dragon's static output. DragonSP then freezes those files into the statics. If you wanted to still use them you could go in and change the altitudes by hand (a full-featured text editor helps here, I like editpad myself).

Ok, Thanx. Some other stuff right on:

I found unevenly.txt in my Dragon Scripts folder, is it in any way possible to add a forest, jungle, snow and desert support, too? Does anyone have
such a file? Would be a great help. :?

You can add anything you want to unevenly. In fact in mod10 I made the mountains all 5 lower and then added a 1000 chance of a 1-5 variance on them to make them look better.

Just remember that the unevenly file will add (although I haven't tryed adding a negative number with it) at random to all tiles of a group. There may be times when you don't want that.

The syntax is in the header usually.

Example though for mountain:
Code:
06 1000 0000 0000 6143 4095 005

Group 6 (which is Mtn) , 1000 chance of occuring (I suspect it is the % chance carried out to 1 decimal; 100.0%) , 0000 0000 6143 4095 (the map coords, this is for the entire map), add 1-5 Z.

Hmm.. thanks so far. I suppose unevenly will be used by Dragon.exe (not DragonSP.exe)? :? Wouldn't normally be a problem but i've changed a relatively big area of the map with world forge (so the changes would be withdrawn :( ).

Some strange thing i've noticed: Why doesnt dragon place any Tiles or Items to specific Altitudes? Everything on my map with height 45 has no transitions (p.e. forest to grass) and no items are placed. Is there any known fix (using ryandors mod9+)?
