 Post subject: Trees, POL, Walls.

Hail,

I have some questions... Of things that i can understand.
1 - What the best program to use for a POL server ?

2 - How i can create... a region with random trees? I think i will dont need to put 1 by 1... i will ? )

3 - How i can create walls ? I will need to edit the Statics.mul ? How ?

1. I assume you mean for building a map? Dragon, it's the program to use for building a map for any server. :D And a good one at that.

2. Dragon will place items for you. You do this by running DragonSP. You'll need to copy your staidx0.mul and your statics0.mul into another directory (for backup purposes) and run the static patch after creating your map.

3. Dragon Mod 9 will do some walls for you. Like cave walls and dungeon walls. Additional walls will have to be created in game. Building an entire city is a lot of fun let me tell you. Or you could build things with UOArchitect, but that currently only works with RunUO emu server. As for making them static, that depends on what kind of server your running. As Rosethorn posted earlier, it is going to suck trying to patch your items to statics using sphere 99*. But you could always use Sphere 55i or Sphere 55r2 or r3 (both recommended over anything else done with sphere in my honest opinion) and then freeze items using UOSP. If you use RunUO they have a freeze command built in with their servers that automatically patches non useable items (like floors and walls but not doors) into your statics files.

The data of the walls, and the map items is in Staidx0.mul or statics0.mul ?
How i can edit this ?
I use the POL 095..,
