 Post subject: Water to land not right

when i compile my map in dragon and run it, where the Grass 0 and water -5 meet there is a bunch of brown and black tiles what am i doing wrong

You are not doing anything wrong.
You are not doing enough.

The coastal water tiles are static, and these cover the brown tiles. YOu need to run DragonSP as well, selecting at least water2x and x2water.

Review the tutorial in the faq forum for more detials.

swamp to grass not doing right
im looking thru the Tutorial and the dragon files and
looks to me like swamp can be by grass am i right ?

i see whee you say swamp can only be by grass and has to be atleast 2 grass spaces around it but its not working for me :(

Altitude (z) needs to be the same.
Example, grass 0 around swamp 0, grass 5 around swamp 5, etc.

If this isn't the problem, post a screenshot.

Best thing to do is take an area of your bitmap and try every single combination you can possibly think of (i did it once) and see what works and what doesnt, this technique (for me anyways) seems to spawn a lot of new and interesting ideas....
