 Post subject: DraonSP help?
PostPosted: Tue Jun 10, 2003 4:26 am
Hi!
I made my own map in photoshop and converted it into a map0.mul using Dragon. Now I wan't to use dragonsp to fix coastlines and trees and stuff like that but when I open dragonsp (this is the dragonsp that comes with dragonmod9), there are no "scripts" in the list to the left so when i click start, it just says "No items found". I click search and all and none but nothing happens.. Can anyone tell me how I use dragonsp?

Thanks in advance

If you read this tutorial http://www.ryandor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=82 you will notice that when his finished with converting the map from bmp he gets the message "Use dragonsp to freeze statics"

When i convert my map, i just get the message "You can't use dragonsp to freeze statics", now what is that all about. I tried different versions and all but same message everytime..

PLease help.

Is your staidx0.mul and/or statics0.mul read-only, by any chance? If no, then I have no idea.

Im using 1.03.62beta. Dragon works fine, it's the dragonsp to create the coastlines and place trees and stuff that dosen't work..

I tried it in two different OS'es (of windows) and same problem in both. Should i place the staidx0 statics0 and map0 files in a special folder? What have you guys done to get it to work?

For closer description of the problem for new readers, check out the top two posts in this thread.

While you shouldn't have to, I always put the map and staics files I am working with in the same directory as Dragon and DragonSP.
I then copy those files into the UO directory to check them, making sure that the paths are right so I'm checking the right map/statics.

I managed to find out what was wrong. I selected "Sphere statics" instead of "UOX Statics" in Dragon :)

Kinda stupid error but im not using sphere, so why select it :)

Thanks for all tips anyhoo :)

It's not really a stupid error, really. At one time DragonSP used to work with uox statics. The feature was removed at one point and never made it back in. Just one of those things.

Glad you got it to work though.
