Maybe you are aware of this, But I have been working on a map for several months now (or so it seems.. ) and have been geting prety close to finishing actual bmp stages.. Untill...

Well, we knew of this on at least one tile.. On cobblestone that was placed directly up against grass, in the 3d client it came out with Lava boarder tiles.. Ack!... I simply used dirt between them, and it was fixed.

If that was not enough, I have just found that the entire border from snow to water on my 2 ice islands are lava as well. So, i have water, going into a Lava bank, finaly going into the snow that makes my islands..

I have been working on the corections of the tiles that are comon for both clients, but sheesh.. what a mess this is.
(btw, there are a couple/several other tiles that also have this prob)

Anyway, If this is known and solved already, I would really like the Snow2Water.txt that fixed it.. although i will surly have it sorted as well in a mater of hours. I would still like to compare your (or whomever) fix to mine.
Thanks.

If i wanted to make a cheesy shard that had limitations to players.. and had a crappy world map simply drawn out, and thrown together.. it would be runing right now.
I dont care to take shortcuts, thank you.
btw, cant you think of any other name, than trying to impose as someone who actually knows somthing?

Ryandor I know you take your boards seriously, and had no intention on making any posts that may have caused any trouble.. It also bothered be to recieve those replies.
I suppose i should not have replied to them at all, and am sorry if my replies had offended you or your forum.
I am simply having a problem with corecting these tiles ->

Snow to Drit tiles 0x0306 to 0x031f are what dragon uses for the Snow2Water.. that show as Lava in the 3d client.
tiles 0x0179 to 0x018A need to replace them. I have managed to get the most of them replaced ok, but the AAABBB series is somehow confusing me, and i am sure that is the reason i am having trouble with the few last ones.
I know of a few other land tiles that also give this lava tile in 3d as well, If you would like to know of them, I will post that later.
Again, sorry if it seemed I had anything to do with the troublesome posts.. I did not mean anything like that to happen. :?

Ok. I've heard that some of the tile orders are different in 2D vs 3D, but have never actually known which ones were changed. Looks like you've found them though.

As for the AABB tables, the easiest way to fix them is use the existing *2*.txt file to just replace the affected tile. Being as it's a coast tile makes it that much harder since tehre are several files that control those.

One possibility is instead of correcting the txt file is to replace it. There is a "light coast" option the between grass water that uses a different set of coast tiles. I've never tried it, but maybe it would look good enough to replace? Also, I'm not sure if it would help, but disabling all lava in the scripts might be an option. For areas that you do need/want lava, create the map, then import that section into the "working" map.

As I've not currently got UO:3D installed (much less find the CD) I can't look at the tiles for 3D.

If you do end up creating a new transition for it, I would appreciate it if you could send it to me.

As for the previous posts, you are fine. The issue isn't the troublesome posts. The issue is using my name inappropriately.

In advanced.. I am unsure of this working in ALL aspects of world building, but it was as close as i could get it to go. Any updates to this for improvment would be great, Or if you see it to work well for you too, wonderfull.
It worked well for me, in both 2D, and 3D.. (hence, no Lava Tiles showing in 3d now )
Anyways, hope it helps someone out
