Ive been here alot and ive made a pretty large map with the trammel/fel size map. From what i heard most custom map makers use the malas size map? Im debating if i want to do this or not. Does anyone have any tips or advice if i should use the malas map?

I, personally, used the Trammel/Felucca sized map for my custom one. I guess it would depend on your world's backstory and how much land/water/etc you'd need to continue telling it ingame. :)

alot of makers myself included feel that a smaller map is smarter, as you will never have the playerbase of osi and dont really need all that room cause your players will never see each other....

so some do, some dont, i find that t2a is big enough for most of my needs

Lynxx makes a very valid point. :)

If you don't foresee your player base as being moderate to large, a small map would likely be just fine.

I only made mine big because I built my map as a place for my UO friends to enjoy a few "beyond UO" adventures/quests/etc.. I ended up creating an entire backstory for the world and the rest just went from there.

Few folks have, or ever will, see my world. But, it's fun building and rebuilding and adding on. Hehe
