Post subject:  what to do...

I find myself back in search of UO emulators once again. A lil over 2 years ago i setup some but they werent stable and lacked content. I setup Wolfpack 12.8.7 a few days ago and notice its WAY more feature rich and stable than things were 2 years ago. I do notice that there are a few things missing and im wondering what the "best" emulator out there is? Smithy's Anvil says sphere is lacking updates and i saw that on uoxgateway that 70% of the servers listed there were all sphere. What do you guys reccomend emulator wise as being the most up to date content wise and functionality wise?

POL has few (and far between) updates, but it's one of those ones that doesn't really need updating :-)

by far the most customizable

Sphere: Most stable platform, has a few limitations

POL: Stability depends on the person scripting for the shard, virtually no limitations though.

UOX: Fairly stable, more customizable than sphere, more limitations that POL

Actually, if I had time to sit down and do it I'd learn to script UOX, but for now I'm content to sphere's limitations, mostly because I know how to work around most of them and still get an effect similar to what I want.

another alternative is RunUO. It's early days to tell how is going to pan out, but it's got the potential to be good. Unfortunetely, it's not released yet. www.runuo.com

I'll wait and see if it survives, and how buggy it is, and all the other stuff that I look for when I'm shopping for server software.
