How do I import animation files (.uop) to game?

I added .uop to verdata.mul, but in client 3.0.8a (Samurai Empire) the changes aren't seen. Instead of the right picture - an unused tile is seen. Why? Maybe Samurai Empire doesn't support verdata.mul?

None of the recent client versions support verdata.mul (including "old" UO clients you may have lying around, after they've been patched up), so any changes you want to make must be made directly to specific .mul files. Animations to the anim-muls, artwork to the art-muls, et.
