Well we all saw it xcoming eventually next you will see the playable Orc, then to combvat that new plauge playable Dwarves etc etc.. I think this is a last attempt to save UO because it has come out not even a few months after SE most games dont release mod packs this often 
But hey anyways this will make it even easier and get EA todo the leg work of animations etc for something the emu scene has been trying to do for quite a while. YAY real Elf stuff, I just hope they do a good job!

Hell I think this is long overdue! The original UO never exsisted in the online version, it was just a thin illusion. The more variety the better I think. One thing that I think they should do is open Shards based on major version changes that way people who like pre 16 could still play the version they like while those who liked the new changes could enjoy their self as well. We need Storm Troopers and more robots next! Dev |

Well from the live servers standpoint, it all went to hell a long time ago as far as I am concerned. From an emulator view, more expansions can only be a good thing. Which reminds me, is there anything worthwhile in SE? I haven't bought an expansion since T2A (even though I have LBR and AOS). Were there any new terrains added? |

Well, the client will be free to download for this new one, so just sit back and wait? you will get all the expansions for free. |

Elves are very intelligent actually, its the players who try and reach that lofty intellect that make them look bad.... Now Orcs would be cool too, but yes they really are stupid!

Elves are more stupid than Orcs. Just because you are a pale nerd with pointy ears and hide yourself in the woods, does not make you smart or mystical ? it just makes you creepy. |

Coolness. Saves me the trouble of looking for a download. Could probably get from bit torrent but I'm too lazy anyway. I've just recently been screwing around with RunUO again and Neruns distro. Default maps. Seeing what all the changes (I'm talking about made by EA, not RUO) since I used to play and wow....I absolutely hate it. I mean I love all the fixes to things that were fucked up from day 1. Improvements to the existing engines and what not but all the new crap? Blah. We didn't have artifacts and 120+ skill in my day. If you were a 7x GM you just had a somewhat level playing field in pvp against all the other 7x GMs. All so complicated. |

Wow Xuri, that is really horrible. I retract my earlier statement (that any new content can only be good for the emulator community). Obviously there IS new content that isn't any good to anyone. Hmmmm Maybe could use it for new monsters? The last haircut would look good...on a medusae.... |

Judging by some of the other screen shots (which can be found on stratics), I do not think there will be much worth wanting ? at least for the 2D client. One of the biggest problems with UO is that everybody cares more about standing out via use of flashy, abnormal colors, than they do about enjoying the game. It was stupid years ago? now it is just downright depressing. |
