| Post subject: | UO Pre-Alpha Map is coo! |
So I was given the opportunity to walk around on a pre-alpha UO server yesterday. Very, very cool map! Britain is so much more city-like? many, many more buildings? a lot of which have basements and everything. The cemetery was especially nice, as well! The way underground portions of the map worked was very cool, too. It didn?t show black around you? it would show the lowest ground/tile above where the black would normally have been. This makes underground places in general seem much? nicer. Not having big black blobs on your screen goes a long ways towards emersion, I?d say. One can only wonder why they left so much out in the final release? |
