I managed to count 35 such shards on the UOGateway shardlist just now, before I got bored and dozed off. |

Even better is the explination of how RUNUO has had less than 10k downloads of version 1.0 yet they claim they have downloaded over 200GIG's of bandwidth for the new version and need more money to support their quad servers bandwidth. Like I'm going to fork over $25 bucks for a lifetime membership for a EMU knock off that will be extinct in a couple of years after the creator manages to bilk everyone and buy a T-3 line and a mainframe so he can download gay porn faster! At least pump up the numbers for crying out loud... Dev |

I?ve got two projects going at the moment (http://www.sydius.com/projects.shtml for a complete list). One is the upgrade of my site, the other a library of functions for dealing with client-side files. I?m debating making the library open-source. I suppose I should, but UOX has left a bad taste in my mouth for open-source software. Perhaps I?ll moderate changes and only accept ones of high quality, but then there would just be 2 million nock-offs like there was/is for UOX (including my own!). Nobody here likes to work under anyone else?s rules ? that one of the biggest roadblocks to us teaming together to produce something worthwhile these days. |

I dont mind working for anyone in so long as I feel useful and have a chance to actually do something worth while. I'd love to learn C+ and how to script for EMU's, graphics I think I have down pretty much ![]() Dev |
