Post subject:  Looking for a custom buildings site....

I got out of the UO scene for a little bit, and seem to have lost most of my links. There used to be a website, Forums really, that dealt solely with the design and sharing of custom houses and buildings for UO. I have searched and searched and I cannot find hide nor hair of it :D

Of coarse I cannot rememebr the name of the forums, but I THINK it was to do with the UOArchitect program, but not 100% certain. I do think I found the link off this website though...

Any ideas?

Thank you,
Randy

I am pretty sure that is not the site. I remember UOBD, And I could be wrong, but this site I am thinking of used an UBB Style Bullitin Board, it was darker colors, like maybe black and blue. And I think UOBD was a lighter colored website, yellowish brown?? But I am fairly certain UOBD is not the one I am looking for...

Hmmmmmm

Randy

Plus the site I am thinking of was still VERY much in use last time Iwas there, 8-12 months ago.

Funny how things like that happen. I still can?t get my hands on a rare copy of WorldForge that was made for POL, didn?t use the annoying block system, and had accompanying POL commands so you could freeze/melt from in-game.

He wants orbsydia.com... that's where the UO Architect forum is at, which has a collection of custom houses that can be imported into UOA and exported into the game.

Sydius, I think what you want might be here:

http://www.drocket.net/files/static.zip

I also have a step by step instructional for melting/freezing in POL that was written up by Hinen/Lezyt of Keisthai if you'd like it. It's very comprehensive.

Well, it is not Orbsydia I want. YEs it has the color scheme, but it is not the site. The site I am thinking of had litterally HUNDREDS of designs and buildings that could be downloaded.

I have been thru Orbsydia, and that is deffinately nto it. I have google searched to my hearts content. For the last 2 weeks I have searched on every search engine I can think of, but I am afraid searches like UO custom building, or UO House Design, UO Castle custom etc etc etc yeild such varied returns I may never find it.

Thanks everyone.
I knwo it is out there, I just have to find it.
What are all the differant programs for building houses, I know differant emu's sometimes use differant tools, and this may have been for sphere, but I thought it was RunUO.

Pandora's box is the best for simply building. It is the most complete and the most stable. You can find it here:

http://arya.runuo.com/

UO Architect (orbsydia.com) allows you to copy and manipulate the buildings in UO. I don't love the editor, though. I use Pandora to build and UOAR to copy things like wall sections to make them build faster.

The Sphere forums have a few forums for buildings that can be pulled into UO Architect...

http://www.sphereserver.com

But honestly, Orbsydia is the only one I know of that has forums specific to UO Architect. The style on their site is a custom style too so its kind of weird that there is some other site that looks like theirs and has content for UO Architect but isn't them...

Try http://www.orbsydia.org There is a sharing section in the forum for UOAR buildings and constructions.

There was also a huge forum at UO Stratics about OSI style buildings. I am not sure if it's still there. I will post the link if i happen to find it again.

Not that I recall all that was on it, but that could've been the older version of Paigelore. I recall it having dark blue colours.

paiglore was medium-bark blue at its very last few months

Maybe your thinking of Xuri's HouseBuilder?

Link is: http://homefree.freewave.no/~s107293/wb/ of course the web site is long dead and nothing works.

House builder was a very good program with lots of customized houses that you could add to the scripts. Shame it died along with everything else.

Post subject:  Is this what your looking for?

Here is a link to the "buildings by architect" section for UO Architect.

This is a GREAT tool for RunUO.

It assists in the rapid creating, copying & placing of 'groups' of items (buildings, decorations, most anything, as long as it is unfrozen).
And a really neat part of it is that you can EXTRACT an area, including underground spaces, into a file (*.uoa), that can be imported into UOA on another shard and built in your shard for ya! Amazing! Here is the link:

http://www.orbsydia.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=36

It has litterally 100's of such 'constructions' that you can DL and use.

Hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes by posting this.

I too used to use a different shard, I was using TUS way back when.
And I remember alot of cool buildings and things people had made and shared.
One that comes to mind is the FLYING boats, that went over land as easily as over water!
Working catalupts and balistas and cannons!
I have seen working cannons in RunUO but I have yet to see working catalupts or balistas, tho these should not be any harder to create, or are they?

I'm not a scripter yet, but I have some really good ideas for stuff.
If there IS a scripter out there that is looking for projects, I have some ideas we can kick around, kk?

What? Web site dead? Nothing works? Pah! I've updated the news page and fixed all the links. There, it's alive again.

Xuri's WorldBuilder 0.23, soon to be released on a Internet Near You! ;P Of course, since no one uses a UOX3 version (except me and whoever visits uox3.org) compatible with it any longer, it doesn't really matter.
