this is a topic about a group of us who are deciding to do a majpr rewrite of UO or to make a new game....we want everyones opinion and comments!

Seriously I wish you the best of luck with getting the people together and "keeping" them together long enough to actually make something either way. I'm sure you will find that the majority will bail after they find out that they actually have to do some work besides impress people with their new titles. :wink:

Try starting with a story line and working it down from there to the nitty gritty, if a custom verion of UO will do everything you need to get what your looking for then just do a new version of UO. If not then make your own game engine. Personally I would do the UO EMU first to get your feet wet to see if its what you think it was then go from there after you get the experience.

That?s going to be a lot of work either way. I?m sure you know that only 1 out of 1,000 projects that the authors are SURE will be finished, never even come close. I?m a perfect example.

sorry been gone....well i dont care if it takes me 10 years i will get it done....lol i make work slow but i dont quit. If they just wanna fuck round they can find a diff project I hope it really only attracts the old skool players that actually want to see uo be something fun again...
