I edited this post in order to not start controversy, I now instead ask what did you think of it if you saw it? Thanks for everyone who replied to the original post |

Words everyone should hear from time to time...its ok... Never feel bad for saying what your heart feels, only for hidding it behind all the lies and fronts that people are under the delusion that is "required" to be accepted in society....Truth and Honesty are what part of what that sacrifice was all about.... damnit now you got me feeling all fuzzy inside... ![]() Dev |

There's people who had it worse then him, if he even existed. Im sorry if I offend someone with this, but I have no beliefs what so ever in something like christ, God or whatever. In my eyes it's just a big (well written) story which went too far through peoples heads. |

I would have to say I am in about the same position there.. I have no strong beliefe. Have never said I dont believe in Jesus or God, I guess I never understood why people worship these beliefes.. Although my personal moto is.. *and has a sign hanging on the wall* No politics No Religion This is especially nessisary when you have a bunch of alcoholics over, and they start babbling endlessly, the last thing you want some drunk group discussing, is either one of those topics... It will NEVER END! ! ! ! |

Even worse are reformed on the wagon ex-drunks, who will babble on about politics and religion sober, and they make even less sense than they did when they were drunks. |

Cal your reaction is pretty much the reaction everyone that's seen it has done, Christian or not. I was reading about it yesterday actually, people all over the country have spent 10's of 1000's of dollars of their own money to rent out entire theaters and give away the tickets, because they were so strongly moved by the movie that they wanted everyone to be able to see it. I don't think the movie was intended to be gross and bloody and make you cringe, I think it was meant to thoroughly and assuredly reaffirm your devotion, and possibly even convert some nonbelievers into loving other people just a little bit more than they already do. I haven't seen the movie, and I"m not a Christian, but I'm quite sure I'll cry just the same as everyone else that's seen it... and come out just as moved as everyone else that's seen it. |

i agree, but jesus or anyone else that wants/wanted to help people to salvation dont just try and convert people they are trying to save you. Sadly, people think it to just be a realistic movie, its supposed to show love, and still people above, laugh and say just a story ![]() |

![]() it IS a story. Don't get me wrong, you can learn from stories. In fact, most stories have a meaning. They want to teach you something, or even show you something. Like for instance, the book animal farm. It's also a story, but with a message. So can this movie be, but to be honest. The church has heavily fucked up anything connected to Jesus, God or anything in that direction. They just abused the power they were in, and it wasn't just a single case. |

and that was the reason for the movie....mel gibson was tired of people being mis-directed in what Jesus was and what happened to him, he took it out of fuzzy nice terms and made it brutally visual.... not being argumentative but nothing on this world IS, we cannot prove anything related to things like that. it is or it isnt, its all a matter of point of view. |

Oh I didn't mean converted as in trying to make them Christians, bad choice of words hehe. I just mean it's supposed to make people love each other a little more than they do.... in "theory" Christians already love their "brothers and sisters". |
