Now this is pathetic:

ADVANCED CHARACTER SERVICE

Purchasing an Advanced Character is a great way to move quickly ahead in specific areas of the game without taking a character through every step of the building-up process. It is particularly useful if you are purchasing this character as an additional character on an existing account and you are already familiar with the development process but you want or need a specific type of character for your account. This service really helps to move you into the fast lane!

Get your Advanced Character NOW for $29.99 (Per Character - One time fee )

For more information on the Advanced Character Service, click here.

At least they have somewhat done the "right thing" with this and are not allowing it on Siege Perilous.

actually, this has been implemented for at least a year.., hm, possibly 2 years. I was still playing an OSI shard when it started. and that was quite some time ago.
I think that it is the most obsured thing they could ever do, and a complete slap in the face to any long term player in the OSI comunity. At least it was for me.

Agree with Dian, this was a very hard slap to the face...

I spent months working on a tamer, finally get to 110 skill and here comes all the newb's..."I'm a 90% tamer, bought mine!" OSI/EA sure didnt take into account that its the players who have maxed out their characters that leave the fastest due to boredom...yeah they made short term money but slit their wrist in the long haul.

For me it was the lower skill levels that were the most fun, there you actually have to "try" where as the higher levels most things are to easy for you. I have a Elder mage that solo's Balrons on the live servers, thats pretty fun...for about the first 100...*yawn*

Blacksmith from 95-100. Especially that excrutiating last point. And then to lose it by doing something else, because there were no skill locks at the time. I think I went pk after that.......

hehe Those were the good old days when "anything" could happen. I dont think I can count the times I made GM archer before locks came to UO skills. Course I cant begin to count the number of times I had to go buy a new shovel after getting PK'd over mine...
