Hello all,

I added some custom graphics to the art.mul like some other swords, armor, and statues. They display great with the 2d client, but they act kind of parculiar with the 3d client.

For example I have a tool berrel which acts just like a normal barrel. I copied the barrel script renamed the constructors to ToolBarrel and switched the pic id to 0x39DC. Now this is the weird part, it displays properly in a container or while it's being dragged, but not while on the ground. When it's on the ground it displays the 'unused' tile pic.

Is there any another files besides the art.mul, artidx.mul, and tiledata.mul that I need to edit to make custom 2d graphics display properly on the ground with the 3d client? By the way I'm using AoS 3d client 4.0.8a.

Why on gods earth would anyone want to use 3D?

Seriously though I don't know the answer but the people over at UltimaIris might know the answer since they are currently working on a custom 3D client that blows the original UO version away.

Seriously though...why would anyone want to ruin a perfectly good game by going to 3D? The Emotes are cute but the graphics are horrible.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the 3d being ugly lol. I personally use the 2d client, but I have some people that want the server's custom graphics to work with their 3d client.

Thanks for your good reply and the link. It seems that the 3d client provokes a lot of hate and malas in a lot of people and is generally taboo to ask about it. I tried posting the same message on the RunUO forum and with no luck. Well I did get one message....

"This is the limitation of the 3d client.
Accept it and live with it"

As you can guess it wasn't very helpfull lol.

"NEVER" ask for help at RUNUO(into the ground). Nothing more than a bunch of howling monkies over there throwing shit at anything that moves.

UltimaIris should be able to help you with the problem. Like I said they deal specifically with UO3D and getting graphics to work with it so they would know more than anyone else in the EMU community about the topic.

Its true!

Last time I posted there was to let everyone know that I had made graphics to share with everyone....started a 9 page flame fest and I was being nice for a change....no seriously!

That was the last time I posted on their site in any way or form, I don't even normally go near there unless I'm looking for something specific.
