Post subject: | Line 5119? |
In the tutorial it mentions line 5119. I gather this is a spot where you cant move from one side to the other? Any other lines like this? Why is it that the blueprint file i downloaded the divider between main map and dungeon area and line 5119 are in direct confrontation? The line is considerably to the left of the area greyed out for dungeon.(pretty close to the end too which is at about 6000. Im also confused about a bunch of the information contained within one of the tutorial topics. http://www.ryandor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=369 Lets start with two big points of confusion. Under the heading actions it says Quote: The second one to use would be "Set Oceans and Dungeon Areas" as this will put the proper regions on your new map. I dont understand that and Quote: I highly recommend using the standard sized dungeon areas as the OSI clients that your players will use do not technically support anything other than this. If you do not use the standard dungeon size, then you'll end up with a black unwalkable area in-game where the dungeon border is supposed to be.
Eh? what is the "standard sized dungeon" size? Where does it apply? How do I know if an area is "standard sized"? |

The standard OSI dungeon size Ryan is refering to is the area from 5120 to 6144. 5119 is where the map wraps around on an OSI server (and depending on your client and emulator you are either stopped from going further or wrapped around as well). "Set Oceans and Dungeon Areas" is an action Ryan made for Adobe Photoshop that will automaticly fill your map with water from 1-5119 and black from 5120 to 6144. You can actually build dungeons anywhere you want. You also don't necessarily have to build dungeons from 5120-6144; you just should not have anything crossing that spot (example:T2A). |
