I have a map that I have quite a bit of work into - however the source .bmp file is lost. ![]() Fortunately all of the coast and mountain transitions are done. So what I am really looking for is an easy way to do all the other landscape stuff (forest transitions, dirt roads, landscape bumps, etc.) Looks like I'll need to do all this in Worldforge. Does anyone know of any good Worldforge tutorials for work like this, or does anyone have any hint tips that might make this easier? Thanks - HellRazor |

I'm not modifying anyone else's map if that's what you are thinking! This is a replica of Serpent Isle I created from Ultima VII. I don't want to re-do it because it took me awhile to get the size, layout, and all the mountains pretty close to the original. All my coastlines and mountain transitions are really good, but I lost the .bmp file for the original in a hard drive crash before I could finish the roads and the forests. So all of the roads and forest transitions need to be done manually. Also, all of my grass is just flat and I will probably want to add some variety to the landscape. Believe me, its all my own work, I'm not trying to take someone else's stuff and modify it. HellRazor |

Also, I appreciate the links! But what I really need is some advice on modifying the MAP (not the statics). The part I am having trouble with is the transitions. Its been extremely slow trying to make new roads and have them blend into the surrounding grass, as an example. HellRazor |

I didnt say you did i just said it sounded bad ![]() So you want to make the translations then? In my programs there there is a program called transition maker it does things like that (but i cant guarentee how well) other than that I'm not a big worldforge buff. Don't take offence to my babblings i was just letting you know it sounded off nothing more ![]() |

You made the map originally with Dragon? Might be easier to use Map2bitmap and then clean it up. |

Yeah, it was originally created in Dragon. Where can I find map2bmp? Thanks - |

It should be in one of the Dragon downloads, I think Ryan removed it from his mod distros though. It is called "dragon_m2b.exe". If you go to uocm.de (Dragon homepage) the download there includes it. |
