I run dragonsp. After i choose to erase previous statics this message pops up.
"Cannot create file C:\Program Files\Ultima Online 2D\staidx0.mul"

And it freezes with "clean statics" in the window and the bar at 97% done.

Best bet is to use the Dragon directory for creating the statics (and map).
Put a copy of them in the directory with Dragon, then copy those to your UO client directory after you run them. They seem to have a problem with long file names, especially ones with spaces.

Also, depending on what statics you select in the left side, it may not always reach 100%. That can be safely ignored. Instead watch the date/time stamp on your files. It should change to the currect time if it wrote it correctly.

Well It hasnt changed the statics in my world. And I want it to go directly to my UO folder because copy and pasting from one directory to another takes time and is a hassle. Just more windows to have up and juggle.

But I suppose I could change the folder name to UO2d and see if that works

Ok. that worked. Now I just need to set my shard ini file to the new address and figure out how to point gateway to the new address. I'll ask them about it on there forum.

I'm having the same problem... I even renanmed the directory from the "dragon-mod9" (from unzip) to "A".. I select all scripts, and understand about it not necessarily hitting 100% for whatever reason, but I get that error, click ok, and it just sits on "clean statics..." No filesizes have changed.

Only other thing I can think it might be(??) is that I moved the .mul from one directory to another before running DragonSP, if that matters? Otherwise I'm' not sure what to do :( Any ideas?

@the fella who had this problem before - What did ya do to fix it? I'd move my static.mul's but I already had mine in the dragon directory. Was that all you did to make it work? (moving the files)

LoL - Nevermind.. Found the solution for my problem...

static files had were in the block as: "\statics0.mul"
and I tried: "statics0.mul" and it worked ;)

Thanks tho

On second thought....

It was successful, and I got the files put in the server and on the client okay (I think!!).. But, take a look at this:

www.lanfest.dyndns.org/samples/image1.jpg

As you can see in the image, that is the starting place, which does not seem to have any walls, lol.. There are doors and items and people.. But no items. I tried a bmp I found from a link here just to be sure what I make will work. So I guess my question would be is this map related, or is it something I did using Dragon / SP ? And of course, other than adding walls and floors etc., how can I correct the problem? I tried it twice just to make sure it wasn't something that I knowingly did ;)

The walls are in the statics, and the items are dynamics. They are placed in the worldfile of the emulator you're using. If you're using sphere, you should empty out the worldfile somewhere in the sphere folder to get rid of these items. Im not sure how to keep the britain statics.. maybe it's in the staticx0 file, but Im not completely sure, so try it out by backing the files up. Though if you change the map much it's not advisable to do this x.x unless you do some small changes on the original map ofcourse.

Ack - I'm using RunUO, which seems to be difficult to get working with WF.. The advice I was given was to walk the map in game and add that way.
