How I can expand a existing mine cave?

If you want to expand an existing cave, you would have to add cave tiles manually in game.
If there are walls there, preventing your expantion of the floor, melt it out with World Forge. then Export your addition, and freeze it back in.

Star tiles can be added both in game with Item tiles, or with the Map Edit of World Forge.
