Post subject: | Overwriting T2A with Mala's or Illshenar |
I was wondering if somebody would be nice enough to explain me how to overwrite T2A with Mala's map or Illshenar. I'm aware that this might require taking some space in the ocean and in green acres, but I don't care hehe. I've read the tutorial about copying illshenar over the default world, but haven't been able to understand what I would be doing (if I did what the tutorial said). Therefore, since I don't understand how it works, I haven't been able to figure out how I could place the new world over T2A. I also read that post about that guy asking with UO Copy doesn't work with map3.mul, but I was wondering if there's another way to use mala's map, or if I'll have to stick with Illshenar. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot for reading, Weedy |

I haven't tried this, but you can try changing the name of map3.mul to map2.mul and then trying UOcopy. Be sure to back up your map2.mul before attempting this, as I said, I haven't tried it, therefore do not know if it will work or not. |

I think that it mainly goes off of the sizes of the map. So (I think) that just changing the name won't do anything. But once again this is just what I think. It might work... and it (more then likly) won't. |

Nope well it's because of the dimensions. UOCopy doesn't give you an error message or anything, but the map is somehow "squashed" and some parts are missing. Thanks alot for trying though |

Yeah that's what I thought would happen. Because if you just take map2.mul and rename it to be map0.mul it'll warp the whole map and just make it weird. So I figured the same thing would happen with this. |

Yeah, well let's hope the guy that made UOcopy will make a new version, or post the source. Unless there are other programs that are similar to UOCopy? |
