Did you run DragonSP after runing Dragon (like what it tells you to do in the program it's self once it's done)? What DragonSP does is clears all the OSI statics and adds in statics for you map (trees, rocks, and fun stuff like that for the forset, swamp trees for the swamps, and so on). |

I ran sp it gave me an error right at the end but i think it finished? |

Well if OSI's statics are showing through then it didn't finish. Try running it again, and if you get the same error post what the error is and I'm sure someone will be able to help you. |

If you're running DragonSP, then you are most likely putting the wrong file into the window. DragonSP required statics0.mul and staidx0.mul The map0.mul is only used for Dragon. If this is what you mean, maybe expalin step by step what you are doing? -Ryandor |

Ok what goes in the staidxo and staticso spot I have Program Files/RunUO/map0.mul in both? |

No in the staidx0 spot you put staidx0.mul. And in the statics0 part you put statics0.mul. These are your trees and rocks and fun stuff like that. |

Ok I got that, where do they go in the uo dir where the map0.mul went. Because its still the same. I went to my saves folder in my RunUO folder and deleted the items in there. I logged in and was unclothed and in a different spot. Do I need to remove the rest of the files in my saved folder. And by the way thanks for all the help. I knew that things went to smooth through map building. |

The statics should go into your UO file along with your map file. Other wise OSI will "bleed" through. As for the RunUO files... I have no clue what to do with those. I've only use RunUO a little... didn't really like it (it's still in beta and all... once it has a final release then I'll give it another try). But the houses, trees and everything (statics) shouldn't be in there anyway. The items file will contain items that can be used (eg. Forges, anvils, looms, and stuff like that), it should also contain items that your players have (eg. hair, backpacks, cloths, fun stuff like that). So if you're looking at getting rid of OSI's statics then you're mainly going to want to stick with the UO files (staidx0.mul and statics0.mul) and not so much your server files. |

As a clarification, RunUO saves it's dynamic items as multiple files. pretty much everything in the saves folder needs to go, but I'm not positive on that. The map0.mul, staidx0.mul and staics0.mul all need to be kept together in the client folder (where UO is installed at). -Ryandor |

ok, i've made my own map...but when i get on it i still have all of osi's buildings.....how do you get rid of them? when u run dragonsp it stops and says process finished, even though the % bar at the bottom is only like %33....how do you get rid of the osi buildings? also what program would you use to make new towns? i've downloaded worldforge and worldbuilder but neither seem to work. i use RunUO btw |

Did you replace the statics files that you made with OSI's statics files. And as for building tools for RunUO I know that they have one that can be found in their download section. I think it's called UseUO (don't quote me on that... I don't use RunUO). |

The 33% is only an indication of the percentage of scripts you froze in DragonSP. It has nothing to do with the amount of statics in the actual world. Make sure you are seelcting Yes to "Clear Statics?" when asked, other wise you'll still have the OSI statics. Best bet is to ask at www.runuo.com about worldbuilding tools for it. WorldForge is for editing the map0.mul and for freezing statics (after you build them, and only with UOX/UOXC). WorldBuilder (Xuri's I assume) is only for UOX/UOXC as well. -Ryandor |

I don't think that UOX3 works with worldforge anymore. Now I know that there are ways for using worldforge with sphere (not sure on the command), but other then that... I think that worldforge is mainly for UOXC. |

Clarification: WorldForge map editing works with any emu. WorldForge statics melt/freeze works with UOX .07x or below, WolfPack, and UOXC. It does NOT work for UOX .9x, UOXjs, and RunUO. WorldForge can be made to work with Sphere and POL with additional software and/or steps. That's the lowdown as I know it. -Ryandor |

Ok yeah that all seems right. I was mainly talking about freezing... just forgot to mention it ![]() |
