Okay so far i have 2 worlds in creation

Menmar-The good world

Geshim-The bad world

i've been having problems getting more Massive Continents than Islands and i looked at ur screenshots most maps there have islands up the butt and maybe 1 or 2 main lands.

The naming is hard so far i have 2 Continents Madras,Argollas

and well i am trying to get my world different from uo's and its quite impossible because the naming is hard so far i have come up wiht one dungeon Null.

But Where do u people get ur names from? do u read latin for dummies or what? I went through a dictionary mixing letters for hours and have only comeup with like 4 names.

any advice for me?

I mainly get my names from reading A LOT of books, and then taking the names I like with other names that I like... and mixing them together untill I get a nice sounding name that fits with my map.
Or sometimes I just come up with some names off the top of my head (those are the ones that I end up not liking though  ).

Try getting hold of an Etymologists dictionary : this, normally, contains the origins of most English words, including prefixes, and suffixes. So you should be able to cobble together some Old English, or Latin, names. :)

Another way (my favorite) is to get a map of Wales...start using names you see on the map.

Or for that matter, get yourself a good atlas, and just spend an hour or two looking over the maps, you'll find some great names.

One important thing to consider is what kind of "feel" you want a particular area to have. For example, I wanted one area of my map to have a persian feel, so I started looking at Persia in an Atlas for ideas. Then I had my husband read the names of cities and areas to me and wrote down what they sounded like (which was generally much different from how they were actually spelled) and then I tweaked them here and there to make sure they were really different from the real names.

Another great resource is NameMage: http://www.mapmage.com/namemage.htm
The files it uses can be modified, so you can get names with a particular flavor.

Finally, try using online translators. I had a mountain that was kind of brain-shaped, so I went to a English-Russian translation site. Russian for brain is "Mozya", which I thought sounded cool, so it's "Mozya Mountain".

Good luck!
