How do I make it so that there is absolutely nothing but terrain on my map when i post it on the server and walk around. All I want to see is pure grass, dirt, rocks, water, and sand. None of the little sprouts of foliage or stupid little deer running around, no furniture randomly cluttering my oceans and roadways, no shopkeepers marching around like fools, just pure, naked, earth... I guess I have to clear the worldfile and statics and all that mumbo jumbo I hear around that frankly doesn't mean anything to me. If anyone can just run me through all the steps I'd be much obliged.

It sounds like that has something to do with your server. What emu are you using? Sphere, UOX3, UOXC,... (the list goes on and on)
I don't know so much about many server's. All I really know about is UOXC. So if that is what you're using then you have to delete both items.wsc and chars.wsc (warning this will get rid of all items that aren't static and will get rid of ALL characters weither they be NPC or PC). If not UOXC then..... well I just wasted some space that could have been used for something else :lol:

Oh.... umm... well I don't know sphere all that well. Umm... maybe someone else can help you out with that.
Check in the sphere forums. I'm sure someone there will know.

I believe that's it.

If anyone can help me out here it would be great, I submitted to Sphere's Board too. It seems like a relatively easy question. Also, with Ryandor's mod for dragon, the color for "Forest0" is actually terrain level 2 or 5. If anyone can tell me which one is actually zero, that would be cool. There are some other things like the issue that there are two seperate color sets for "cave" and neither of them seem to be it. And Lava is just like sandstone, not lava. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm.... sounds like you need to do two things. If I understand it right your server has spawns and items in it that you don't want? I think you can just replace sphereworld.scp (in your sphere save directory) with a new sphereworld.scp file containing these lines:

TITLE=Sphere World Script
VERSION=0.55i //Or whatever
TIME=0
SAVECOUNT=1

[EOF]

That should get rid of all the moveable items. If you want to get rid of all the forests, buildings, foliage, etc, you need to find a way to clean out statics0.mul and staidx0.mul. I think it's both but at least one or the other (I'm not sure of the difference between these two files). Since you probably have dragon, maybe backup map0.mul and compile an 8x8 tile map or something? I think when you run dragonsp.exe it will clear out the statics and all that will remain, if anything, will be a couple items in the very northwest of your map in an 8x8 tile lol. Then replace your map0.mul and you should be ready. I'm sure this isn't the easiest way but works with what you have :)

Oh and about the cave.... if I remember it right the more purple one is floorplates meant for dungeons? The other cave (a tan/brown color?) is meant for making mining caves. I think this is how it works:

When you use dragon.exe to compile the map, it makes the cave in map0.mul
When you use dragonsp.exe to create the static items on your map, it lays down cave tiles on top of the cave geography then freezes them to the statics files (works slightly differently, but this is a good way to understand it).

So if you are having trouble mining, you need to run dragonsp.exe because you can only mine from a cave tile that is in the statics files, not from cave geography that is in map0.mul.

Oh yeah and when you complete the cave, you remove the part that is on map0.mul anyway to create the mountain that's above the cave leaving behind just the frozen statics of a cave. Map0.mul can't have more map0 terrain above or below itself because it's just an elevated, stretched plain.
