Hi Guys. I'm new in this forum.
I'm serpentcross. An Italian Admin From Kabal Shard.
Kabal is in Developing State for Now and even if I have TOO MUCH work to do for the shard no one else can develop a map ... so I am here...

There are rumors about how big a map can be and I heard that dragon can create a map 4 times bigger than the Standard UO Map.
It is True?
I need a BIG map!!!
Someone can tell me how much pixel a BMP for a Map can be and how big the map will be (compared to the Standard Map)

Thanks

(p.s. Wow what an Emoticon!)

hmm thats interesting i really dont think thats true unless i missed something!

Basically the uomap(s) have to be the same size but think of this on the default crappy orgin map how much land is there compared to water?

Also 2 cusom maps is more than enough room you need depending on what kind of map you want.

Uo supports 2 maps which means you can make 2 maps either make one filled with dungeons and another the world or do 2 worlds with dungeons.
kind of like the default osi map. I would wait for more reply's this is about all i can tell you.

It's what the client will support, not what Dragon is able to make.
The client can only use two sizes:

map0 is 6144 x 4096
map2 is 2304 x 1600

Those are your choices. Some emu's can support map1, map3, etc, and these are the map0 size. I would still to the above thought

But as coldfire points out, how much land vs. water you have has a potential difference in "effective" map size too.

Can I have a Full List of the Emu's that supports two 6144 x 4096 maps?

I really need that info.

Are u talking about Run UO? Is there practical way how to use at least two maps of map0 size (6144x4096)? [map0.mul and map1.mul] Or isn't there client that can support this?

I hope that u understand what i want to say...
