can someone tell me how to turn the normal britannia map into a .bmp? or could someone post the .bmp of it on here? I tried to use the map2bmp program but on the bmp that it creates all the colors are messed up and it doesnt work when i turn it back into a map file.

There's no practical way at this time to create a bmp of the Brit map. I'm working on a way to do this, but it's going to be some time yet.
