Post subject: How to get trees in?
PostPosted: Tue Oct 22, 2002 5:17 pm
Well I have dragon working properly now, it must of been a problem with windows - as soon as I formatted and reinstalled, Dragon started working.

I have heard Dragon is supposed to randomly put in trees and other vegetation etc according to what the maptiles are. How do I get dragon to do this?

I've made the map and converted it into map0.mul. Now what do I do to get the trees?

Thanks
Melli

Check the /Dragon/statics folder. There should be a list of files in there that coorespond to the areas on your map. DragonSP should automatically see it. Not sure why it wouldn't. If ther's nothing in there, then make sure that the folder is not read only. Not really sure what else it could be really.

It is showing up now, some of the files were read only I think because the folder was copied off a CD.

Now I have another problem, when running dragon, it comes up with something like -1 is not a valid integer when doing the forests.

I think this is because I have a yew tree in the forest script in the scripts folder and it uses negatives. How do I fix this so I can have yew trees?

Thanks!

email me a copy of your forest.txt file and I'll see what the problem is.. It shouldn't be the yew tree though...
