hehe, we had a dragon tutorial up on the page, but it was blink's and he's not part of the shard anymore.. so i had to take it down. i personally have no clue how to use dragon to make a map, so i can't replace that tutorial :) i did put one up for using uosp for static'ing stuff, and the builder readme which will give you ideas of what to tell your staff not to do lol. http://www.tragena.net/html/tutorial.php for both of those.

the cities were built by hand using axis gm tool (sphere). if you use uox you can build em with xuri's worldbuilder instead (actually has better building tools than axis if i remember correctly).

the graphics for the verdata are done by aslan using adobe photoshop. he's a helluva artist :)

basically, it's just a matter of finding a great team that can work together, took us over 7 months to get that team, but i'm really happy with who we have now!

good luck on your shard!

place a wall, place another beside it, repeat.. lol

tile command in both sphere and uox are very helpful - place many walls/floors/whatever at once

either way, yes.. you build them by hand then static them. it's not fast or easy or fun, if you're out for a shard "soon" then don't even start. we've been building over 7 months now, will be another half year before we open probably.

Dragonfire is the map guy, aslan is the verdata guy. You can find us at irc.sphereserver.com channel #tragena. Keep in mind both of 'em have been nailed with quite a few requests to help or teach or make maps/artwork for someone since Tragena started so neither of 'em are exactly eager for strangers coming in asking for things lol.

man u know how i started out on sphere gettng to be a year ago....

I was on a test shard trying to place as many houses i could and sell them (kind of cheap but i got sick of working hehe)

then i ran into this guy that had like 30 villa's placed and he said he was using sphereserver

I knew about sphereserver because i knew someone else that was working on it but i never got into it lol

for about 24 hrs he got me finally straight and i had my Menace Central

of course i started out pretty stupid but hey thats called being a newb lol

I look back at the rookie at sphere and laugh *hahaha*

===============================================
enough of that lol i am not begging i just want to learn hehe i always like learning my brain is never to big to learn more :)

I am not those annoying people that post need someone to make a map for me ......... need an artist i just learn what they do try it practice and get good at it.

well gotta go
