I compilied a map in Dragon mod 10. I loaded it into UOGateway and started up my server. When I got on, the screen looked really odd. Here are some screenshots of what it looked like: ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Make sure the image is the right size and that you are using the right color indexes. |

It's 6144x4096 and I used the pallet. I don't know what I did wrong. |

I'm relatively new to this as well, but I've found that the colors don't mean jack. It's the index in the colormap that matters. Try this: Open your image in Photoshop/Gimp/Whatever (anything that deals with palettes well, not Paint), look for a "mode" option under Image, and convert to RGB, if it's not already. Next, convert to Indexed, and choose any palette that has 256 entries. The important part about this step is to make sure that the image keeps the *entire* palette, including unused colors. Now you can use the positions out of the colormap to make your map (for instance, the first 15 entries in the palette are grass at increasing altitudes). Use magic wand, etc. to convert anything you already have created to this new color scheme, and you should be okay. |

Spudz is partially (mostly) right. You do need to change the palette. You also do that from Image>Mode>Colortable. If you aren't drawing with the same palette as the image uses wierd things are going to happen. Things like seen in the screenshots above. |
