Post subject: | Couple of UOL questions |
I've got a few questions about UOL that someone may be able to answer. Hopefully. One, how does UOL handle single tiles? You know, a tile of one color, surrounded on three sides by a different color. I know dragon doesn't like that, and it results in a crappy looking peice of land. What does UOL do? Two, I'm a linux user, so the .NET framework isn't an option for me. Has anyone successfully run UOL on Mono? I'd try myself and find out, but I've never used Mono, or any .NET based program for that matter. I wouldn't know where to start looking for the problem if a problem did indeed occur. Three... no, no three. Just two. ![]() |

UOL can potentially handle any situation you throw at it. Whether the scripts have been written or not is another matter. I have not been actively involved in it's development since the first public release, but to give you an example: AAA ABB CCC Where A is rock, B is cave entrance and C is grass were done. It could also handle: AAA ABB CCD Where A-C are the same and we have added dirt as D. As far as UNIX I haven't a clue. |

Ok, I'll give it a whirl. If Mono chokes, I'll install .NET on my gaming machine, it has windows. Thanks Stormcrow. |
