Was just wondering if this can be done? I want to add some tiles to the BMP files for floors etc but the colors are not in the table is there a way to just add a new script that would be able to change a color from the BMP to a tile in the mul ? for example i wanna put down the castle type floor for some of my building is there a way i can pick a color and put it in the scripts so when i run my bmp thru dragon it comes out nice ?

Thanks

Its easier to add the floor tiles using Worldforge, that way you can count out the tiles that you need exactly. Doing it Dragon makes them very had to keep track of.

To answer your question though yes you can change any of the tile colors in Dragon to make any tile ingame, that would be the simple way. Use Maptrans 105.txt fron Dragon 9+, the others should be simular but this is the only one that I use.

You could for exampe take the starfield and change it like this;

// (1b) Starfield
9f 1b 000 01fa 01fb 01fc 01fd 01fe 01ff

The 01fa is the first tile in the group going by Inside UO so to change it to lets say light grey stone tiles we would need to make them like so;

// (1b) Light Stone Tile
9f 1b 000 0436 0437 0438 etc.

The 3rd block of "000" is the elevations that the tiles can be placed at so if your doing different elevations you will need to edit one of the groups with various elevations.

Good luck!

The static buildings ingame have nothing to do with the map tiles. Working in Worldforge would save you a lot of time compaired to doing it in Dragon and you will see your end result rather than tinkering with it for hours in Dragon.
