I went through the mspaint thing, i must be missing the whole point, Can I please get someone to speak with me on this, my pallette is wrong or im saving it wrong before i go into dragon 9 and save the map to .mul

First off somewhere on ryandors thing it said the bmp should be alot smaller than my actual.
Also Ive used melodies pallette and pulled the dragon 9 eng mod pallette with similar results. I am totally new to this aspect of building maps, as I have just taught myself worldforge for the smaller projects. I am not so worries about the map being perfect, just workable, I can do the rest with WF and such. Thanks. If there is any other information you need Ill give it to you I just dont know what else to say.
Here is some screenies...

I got wise.
I got dragon mod 11

but my forest is till registering as dirt for some odd reason. The rest worked well other than the transitions ill need to go soften up by hand.

Anyhow any suggestions on this dirt thing?

ok so i have answered a few of my own questions, now in regard to the lava turning to be Red tiles, and swamp being some odd dirt, and dirt being stone tiles and forests having ot be higher... ive decided its my pallette, i am getting the one off the mod 11 file. Now i know its a mistake on my part unless that swatch is faulty, RGB is off i dont know what other settings you would need but i need help.

Are you using the 3d client? If so you are going to see some wierdness.
Otherwise it quite possibly could be your palette, the Dragon mod palettes were made for photoshop. If you can't get a hold of photoshop you may want to try Gimp instead of MS Paint, it's a free program and supposed to be a lot better than paint.

Well actually I switched to Photoshop 7.0 to do this map due to the problems with mspaint and the difficulty i was having. I made sure the pallette was that of your most recent on the downloads section of your files. Now all i can figure is I got the pallette off but i have no knowledge of Photoshop but am learning quickly. Hopefully ill have help with this tonight we will see how it goes.
